Being completely transparent, we can’t stand hashtags. Not only do they make posts look messy but they can be a complete headache to have to add in to Instagram posts. BUT knowing that we have to get on board with them somehow, we’ve found a system that works for us. For the most part, our content is revolved around business, interiors, lifestyle, food and drink, travel or general sillyness. Instead of writing out hashtags each time we post content, we keep a handy list in the notes on our phone that allow us to just copy and paste them over.
What’s the point of a hashtag? It makes sure that the content you create is seen by as wide of an audience as possible. If you’ve bothered to create something great, make sure people see it! Instagram added a function in 2018 that allows us to actively follow hashtags too – this is a great way to seek out inspiration, find new accounts to follow and see what content is being posted in a particular category.
