The Doers is a brand marketing agency made up of a community of creative freelancers. We give brands and businesses (both little and large) flexible access to the whole spectrum of marketing and commercial skillsets.

In our 15+ years working in-house and agency-side we saw so many brands miss out on working with the best freelance talent. They were put off by the time it took to brief and manage multiple freelancers, not being able to control a freelancer’s schedule, and work lacking key nuance and detail. It meant they stuck with the tried and tame: expensive and bloated agencies.

We knew there was a better way of working so in 2018 we started The Doers - the freelance agency that allows great brands to harness all the benefits of great freelancers.

  • This all depends on your target audience, KPIs and the marketing channels you need to be using. We can craft a strategic marketing plan to suit any budget and when budgets are a bit tighter, it’s all about doing less but doing it really well. We’re like to have a budget chat very early on so before jumping on a discovery call with us, have a think about what you have to spend and what you want to be achieving. We can let you know what’s realistic and build your marketing strategy from there.

  • All of our projects, from ongoing work to strategy sessions, will be strategically overseen by one of The Doers Leadership team. Who that is will depend on the sector you’re in and what channels or tactics we’re activating for you - you’ll then work with The Doers (our freelancers) with the best experience for the job in hand. Your allocated lead will be your main point of contact for all of your day-to-day marketing and will project manage the freelancers working on your business. Everything is housed under one contract, one invoice and one point of call. Simple.

    We’re always transparent about who’s working on your team and intro calls are always available. Depending on the project our Doers will join regular calls especially if we’re really focussing in on their specialist area - they’re the experts after all!

  • From our experience this is always a great place to start. Clients often come to us thinking they want one thing but when we look at their marketing plan we often identify new channels to tap into or gaps in their existing strategy which need fixing. By setting the strategy up front you’ll get the best out of us and your spend.

    That said, if you already have a strategy in place we’re very happy to review that and if it’s something we’re aligned with, we’re very happy to jump straight into the Doing.

  • All of The Doers Leadership team have 15+ years of strategic marketing experience at agency, in-house and consultant level. We’ve worked across a range of sectors but are really in our element in the consumer and start-up space.

    The beauty of working with us is that through our wider collective we have a whole host of vetted, tried and experienced freelancers across almost every sector and marketing channel to tap into when we need niche or specific experience.

  • It’s a simple three step process:

    A signed contract - this will outline the scope of work, timeline, fees and payment terms.

    Client questionnaire - we’ll ask you to fill out a detailed online questionnaire to give us everything we need to create a detailed brief.

    Kick-off call - we’ll run through the brief and questionnaire responses together with all of The Doers who will be working on your business.

  • We’d like to think so but don’t take our word for it. Read some of the lovely things our clients say about us here and we’re always happy to set up a call with our clients.

  • We’ve been working virtually way before it became trendy and most of our freelancers are based around the UK and beyond. Whilst Zoom is great we’re also readily available to meet in person and this is our preference when delivering one of our in-depth marketing strategy sessions. So please don’t be shy and feel free to invite us to your gaff if that works better for you.
