Things we love: Interior Design edition

With Jess’ 15 years experience working in the world of homewares and interior design marketing, it’s safe to say she’s a great resource for knowing who to keep tabs on within the industry. We picked he brains to find out which brands and businesses she’s got her eyes on at the moment.

Sezane’s homeware collection

I’m a huge fan of Sézane’s clothing and accessories. If I had an endless pool of money I’d go as far as saying that their clothes would probably make up 80% of my dream wardrobe. And then they went and launched a homewares line. I died and went to heaven. The collection launched in summer 2023 and they’ve since slowly grown it to encompass new lines, including this exquisite lighting collection. The Traviata lamp is very firmly on my wishlist.

Small Traviata lamp - £205

Florence Girod bowls - £45

Embroidery Cushion - £75

Late Afternoon

I don’t think there’s one thing on this online homewares retailer’s website that I wouldn’t buy. If you’re as into hosting as I am, you need to check out Late Afternoon. The pieces are carefully sourced from artisans and family-run businesses; some designed by founders Claire and Rose and made by artisans, others made entirely by them. Fun fact, I fell in love with the brand before discovering that the founders were in fact old classmates of mine.

There’s so much this brand gets right - branding (check), great photography (check), strong story-led products (check), social ads (check), brand messaging (check).

Large Blue Platter - £85

Terrazzo Jug - £75

Peri Rug in Mustard Yellow - £549

Howark

Disclaimer: Howark are a current client of The Doers…but we’d love their work just as much if they weren’t!

Based in Chiswick, with projects all over the world, Howark is a must-watch interior design studio. Their use of colour, texture and patterns is exemplary but they make luxury feel warm, inviting, inspiring and creative. Best bit? Founders Saskia and James are bloody lovely.

We’ve just worked on a full rebrand for Howark and built out a new website for them - check it out here.

Fred Rigby Studio

One of the perks of working in interior design marketing is being introduced to incredible furniture makers. Thanks to Irene from Gunter & Co for this recommendation. The shapes in the furniture created by Fred Rigby Rigby are absolutely beautiful. Playful and practical. Sculptural yet functional. Stylish but comfortable.

Tide Chair - £800

Cove Armchair - £4,500

Raindrop side tables - £3,380

Palefire Studio

Another disclaimer: Palefire are an upcoming client of The Doers…again, even if they weren’t, I’d still be obsessed!

I’m a firm believer that great lighting can make a room and if you’re lucky enough to have one of Palefire’s pieces in your home, you’re absolutely winning. The lines are blurred between whether or not their statement lighting pieces are works of art or domestic design. Their debut collection includes 14 decorative light designs with each one being manufactured in small batches from their family-run workshop in Barcelona and handpainted from their London studio. Everything is made to order to reduce waste.

Parasol Table Lamp - £540

Palefire Satellite Uplighter - £600

Guy Gee

Guy’s work has been on my hit list for a while and last year, I was lucky enough to get my hands on 6 of his prints via an Instagram competition win. Safe to say I was absolutely chuffed. If you love travel his artwork is a must have for your gallery walls. His work reimagines stamps from around the world by digital revision and enlargement. There’s just about every country imaginable available and they look great as one or as a group.

Italy II - £135

America - £135
